Where Is The Heart Located?

Despite the fact that we should all know some basic information about this vital organ, we simply don’t. However, the fact we know is that we couldn’t live without one.
The heart is a muscular organ which can be considered as a double pump due its role in a body. It represents the center of the circulatory system.
So, where is the heart located? Simplest explanation about its location is that the heart is placed almost in the center of the chest between two longs, but slightly to the left. Looking from outside it is between left breast and breastbone. The heart is protected by the ribs from possible external damage.
