Who Invented Velcro?
Posted in Technology
Velcro was invented by George de Mestral In 1940. George was a Swiss electrical engineer. One day when he got home; he was shocked to found a lot of cockleburs. These cockleburs were stuck on his coat and his dog. George had a probing curiosity so he checked those burs under his microscope. He found that burs had stiff spikes over them which enabled them to easily caught fur or cloths. In 1952, after a hard work and research of 8 long years he was successful in producing a Velcro.
