Why is it dangerous for dogs to eat chocolate?

You have often noticed dogs eating many indigestible things such as shoes, homework, garbage, dirty diapers and many other hard to digest things. You want to take full responsibility of your dog’s well being and health and comfort, therefore, always remember that chocolates are extremely fatal for your dog’s health. Chocolate have Theobromine ingredient which is life threatening for dogs. Dogs can not digest and metabolize Chocolate. Vomiting, nausea, restlessness and increased urination are the early symptoms of Theobromine.

It is needed about 150 mg/kg that dog experience toxic reaction which is fairly large amount of chocolate.

Here are some common amount of theobromine in most known chocolates
Milk chocolate contains 44 mg of theobromine per oz.
Semisweet chocolate contains 150mg/oz.
Baker’s chocolate 390mg/oz.
